Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 27, 2026
These terms govern access to and use of Hilva. By using the service, you accept these terms and acknowledge that Hilva is an everyday organization and support tool, not a substitute for professional healthcare.
1. Scope of the service
Hilva can organize assisted people, medications, schedules, reminders, dose confirmations, caregivers, and family groups. Some features may be available only to specific plans, accounts, or modules.
Hilva may evolve, add new features, or modify existing features to improve security, compatibility, and usefulness.
2. Hilva does not replace healthcare
Hilva does not sell, prescribe, or dispense medications. It also does not provide diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical instructions.
Information entered into Hilva should come from sources you consider reliable, such as instructions from healthcare professionals or documents you have reviewed. Before changing a treatment, dose, or schedule for clinical reasons, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for actions performed from your account. Do not share passwords or private patient links with unauthorized people.
You must provide reasonably accurate information and keep the data needed to operate the service up to date.
4. Assisted people, caregivers, and family groups
Anyone adding information about an assisted person represents that they have sufficient authority to organize that information and share it with the appropriate caregivers.
Membership in a family group does not automatically grant access to medications, doses, or other clinical information. Hilva keeps family coordination membership separate from permissions to access each assisted person.
5. Accuracy of medications and schedules
Medication names, doses, schedules, instructions, and dates are entered or confirmed by users. You must review their accuracy before relying on them for everyday organization.
A confirmation in Hilva records that a user indicated a dose was taken; it is not an independent clinical verification.
6. Reminders and notifications
Hilva attempts to send reminders and alerts according to available settings, but notifications may be delayed or fail because of the device, browser, operating system, connectivity, notification services, or external infrastructure.
Do not use Hilva as the only safety mechanism for critical medications, emergencies, or situations where a missed notification could create immediate risk.
7. Assisted prescription reading
When enabled, Hilva may use automation or artificial intelligence to prepare a draft from an image or PDF of a prescription. The result may contain errors or omissions.
Human review is required before extracted information is added to Hilva. Assisted reading does not validate a prescription’s authenticity and does not replace interpretation by a healthcare professional.
8. Plans, charges, and renewals
When Hilva offers paid plans, the price, currency, billing period, trial terms, and included features will be shown before a purchase is confirmed. That information becomes part of the conditions applicable to the subscription.
If a subscription renews automatically, you will be able to cancel it using the available options to avoid future charges. Cancellation and refunds are also governed by Hilva’s published Refund Policy and applicable law.
9. Permitted use
You must not use Hilva to violate others’ rights, access data without authorization, interfere with the service, bypass security controls, distribute malicious code, or conduct illegal activities.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, data, infrastructure, or legal compliance.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Hilva available and functional, but uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed. Maintenance, failures, compatibility changes, or events outside reasonable control may occur.
When a material change affects these terms, an updated version and its effective date will be published.
11. Intellectual property
Hilva, its visual identity, software, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Use of the service does not transfer ownership rights in those elements.
You retain any rights you may have in data and content you enter and authorize us to process them to the extent necessary to provide, protect, and improve the service.
12. Liability
Hilva is provided as an organizational support tool. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for clinical decisions, information entered incorrectly by users, or third-party failures outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
13. Termination
You may stop using Hilva and, when a paid subscription exists, cancel it using the available options. We may terminate or suspend the service for serious breaches, security risks, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service, with reasonable notice when feasible.
14. Questions
For questions about these terms, use the support or contact channel published on hilva.app. Do not send full payment card numbers or unnecessary health information in a support request.
